(Boylston) - State Representative Harold P. Naughton, Jr. joined his colleagues in the House to pass a Supplemental budget. The $77.8 million spending bill seeks to close out fiscal year 2014, which ended July 1st. The bill includes a provision to appropriate $200,000 for a highway department building in Boylston, which has been in dire need of upgrades for a number of years.
“I am thrilled that we were able to address this vital issue for the Town of Boylston. The funds provided in this supplemental budget will ensure that the necessary updates to the highway department building will not have to wait until the next legislative cycle. I hope I will be able to continue to aid the town in addressing this issue, as it will benefit both the community and the Commonwealth as a whole.”
The bill was engrossed by the House and now moves to the Senate.
